Exploring Rock Pools

Here are some photos I took on a recent outing where where decided to explore rock pools at the beach.

So much life is held within these rocks yet we usually don't give it a moments thought when we visit the beach. As you can see I found all kinds of creatures and even some beautiful blue coral.

We spent a few hours here just exploring and taking in the sea air and scenery. I always find spending time in nature restorative and even quite meditative.

I always find it amazing the different textures you find in the rocks where it has been worn away and moulded by the water and sand.

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.” - Lao Tzu

It is a good reminder that sometimes in life you should let yourself just go with the flow a little and not always try to control everything, don't you think?
