Studio 54

Leopard Print Dress - Vintage
Belt - Myer
Black Heels - Novo
Red Lipstick - Sportsgirl

After looking at photos from Studio 54 and doing a blog post on Bianca Jagger I imagined if I had been there in the 70s this dress would have been perfect. Batwing sleeves and a split up the side. Sorry I couldn't resist doing some leg shots! haha. This is the first time I have worn red lipstick in photos, I NEVER wear red lipstick but I thought when wearing leopard print I really needed to give it a try :)

Loving the print on this playsuit, who doesn't like a bird print? Lots of colour and floral so it is perfect for spring!

Ricks Garage + Adventures

Having a bit of a clean up on my computer and found these images I had not yet added to the blog that I had taken ages ago. For some reason I took all these photos on an angle! haha

One day we went driving and we explored an abandoned house ( now unable to access as it has been fenced off) and also Dunethin Rock area. At the jetty the water looked enticing for a swim but I was told bull sharks had been seen in the water so that made me change my mind.

Ricks Garage at Palmwoods is one of those places that has slowly but surely grown in reputation and is a fun place to meet up for an old fashioned hamburger and milkshake. There is often classic cars and bikes out the front to add to the atmosphere. And yes they actually are a garage as well with the mechanic out the back. They have also started adding music nights to the menu!

Bianca Jagger - Style Muse

Bianca Jagger. She knew how to rock a turban or a hat, especially when the hat was made from a cactus. She rode into her birthday party at Studio 54 on a white horse. She was married to Mick Jagger. She wore her backstage pass on her platform shoe. She knew how to rock the androgynous look.  She was the coolest.

Flamin' Galah!

Galah Earrings - Vintage
Pink Orchid Dress - Vintage
Belt - Forever New
Shoes: Rubi

I was in a bit of a silly mood this morning and felt like wearing something a little more fun. I bought these vintage earrings a while back and they are galahs on a flower made out of fimo. So 80s! Every time I look at them I think 'flamin' galah' which is such an Aussie thing to think haha! I am lucky that at my house we get alot of Cockatoos, Corellas and the occasional Galah in the trees down in the yard. They are characters and can be quite noisy!

Yaroomba holds a special place in my heart as it is where I got married on the beach.

We decided to go for a little adventure clambering over the rocks on a bit of an overcast day.

An innocent and excited child approached me and took my hand and asked if he could show me his shell collection. His mother looked up from the distance and I yelled out ' he wants to show me his shells'. We had a little laugh as I came over to her and the shells were shown to me that he had collected in his hat. His excitement for the wonders of the ocean were something I wish we could all still hold onto as we grow into adulthood.
