When you are road tripping and you pass a cute little closed cafe out in the country it makes a perfect place to stop and take some snaps right? 

Janis Joplin is one of my favourite musicians of all time so I was flattered when Margaret from Bohemian Seed said I reminded her a little of an Australian Janis Joplin. I thought it was quite fitting as we had already taken these photos and we all know how much Janis loved velvet and flared pants! I could only dream of being able to sing like her,  maybe at the next open mic night I will give it a go :P

I recently found this great Melbourne label Bijou and besides the fact they have a wonderful boho range their clothing are also 'one size fits all' which I love since I find my wardrobe full of a range of sizes. Their Wild Gypsy maxi skirt in black has splits up the front just to give it an extra 'something something' and I know I am going to get a lot of wear out it being so versatile.

More adventures out in the country, there was a beautiful white horse next to this property that came over to me and to have a bit of a stickybeak and I happily gave her some attention. The sun was beautiful and bright this day and it was great to just get out and enjoy the country air.

How cute are these little colourful shacks? They are hired out to school groups for camping. I wouldn't mind a little shack like this myself ;) I used to live not far from this park and we had been kayaking through the everglades, it was beautiful. Think I should do this again soon, there are some places I want to kayak too that I didn't make it to last time.

And how cute is this vintage playsuit from this awesome new vintage shop I have discovered Bohemian Seed, it even had the original swing tag still attached. I love that the tag had 'HAVE A NICE DAY!' written on it, so kitsch! With it's contrasting floral cotton fabric with a matching belt, you can see I mixed things up and wore it with the belt and then tried with the leather belt. I like it both ways. It's so fun!

I'd been wanting to visit this part of the Dularcha National Park for a while as I had heard about this old railway tunnel that was built in the latter part of the 1900s.  It would have been a beautiful view from the train back in the day travelling through the National Park but as the tunnel has been abandoned since 1931 and to be honest it is quite creepy and dark to walk through. It has a slight curve as you walk through it but it is short enough to eventually see the 'light at the end of the tunnel' as you go further so to speak and your eyes do adjust.  We could hear some bats above us as well, apparently there is a colony of them in there.

I was able to test drive my new gorgeous bag from Beara Beara, I chose the dark brown backpack as it has some leather tooling on it ( a favourite feature of mine) and is even big enough to carry a laptop computer. This bag is going to get a lot of use from me for my adventures!

I practically screamed when I saw this tank painted with unicorns and toadstools! Got to love when you spot something so fun and magical on the side of the road unexpectedly. So naturally we stopped to take a closer look and get some pics too! The colourful print on my outfit I stood out nicely against the fantasy mural.
