It was a lovely warn and sunny day when we shot these photos but I wanted to show how you can wear this gorgeous skirt in different ways. Perfect for the beach going barefoot and with a spaghetti strap top. But it also can lend itself to the cooler weather coming. Of course I paired it with cowboy boots and you can never go past a kimono, but any jacket and even a long sleeve basic top would go well with this. I'm always loving skirts with pockets too!

Who would have thought it was Autumn here on the Sunshine Coast when these photos were taken? The beach was lovely and warm as was walking along the rocks and as usual exploring. If you follow my instagram you will see how I found some beautiful sea glass including one in the shape of a heart. I like to think it was a positive message ;)

My henna was standing out so vibrant and this tank top from Sumika was the perfect mix with my denim shorts to be able to move freely among the rocks. I've know Angela from Sumika for a number of years and she inspired me to show a little more skin and be proud of my body. After all I am grateful for being healthy and have the freedom to move around. If you have ever broken a bone, been disabled in some way or been very ill you will appreciate how important it is to be grateful just for this alone :)

I have been lucky enough to know Nikki for many years through a friend of mine saying 'I think you should friend Nikki on Facebook, you have a lot in common'. Indeed we do as both lovers of vintage clothing and handmade ( and a cheeky sense of humour!). I was so blessed to receive this gorgeous playsuit she made for me with her own two hands. She is a wiz at creating beautiful products having seen her try her hand at many hand sewn items involving vintage fabrics. She handpicked a fabric she knew I would love ( vintage of course!) and I wasn't to know what type she had for me until it arrived and I unwrapped the parcel to reveal the cutest seersucker fabric complete with apple print.

I can honestly say Nikkis craftsmanship is amazeballs and even the fabric label she has sewn on is the cutest with a little pin up lady to complete the look. So so vintage, this design zips up at the back and ties up behind the neck. Indeed you could wear it a little lower at the front to have a bit more 'vavoom' if you wished. I paired it with a thin belt for this look but it isn't a requirement. I felt a little like I belonged in an Elvis Presley movie and the ukulele had to make an appearance. A bright yellow surf life saving box on the beach made the perfect backdrop on this beautiful sunny day. A little girl stopped and watched Troy photograph me and told her mother I was beautiful. It made my day even more delightful and I couldn't help but have a smile on my face.

It was the first day after my henna paste had come off and it was a beautiful sunny day. What better way to spend it than to take a blanket to the park and enjoy it. I was feeling a bit girly, a bit feminine and I wanted to wear my newest vintage dress that I fell in love with due to the hand marbled fabric. I am a boho girl but every now and then I do like to mix it up and I liked the contrast of the vintage dress with the intricate henna from Nicki.
